Birding with Deja Perkins at Jackson Park

Deja Perkins is an urban ecologist and science communicator that is passionate about encouraging people to explore the nature in their own neighborhoods.

"Nature can be found everywhere, not only in the amazing national parks, and state parks that we see on tv, but even close to home. No matter if you live in a rural or an urban environment. I believe that everyone should have equal access to natural spaces especially within the city." - Deja Perkins

This birding experience will be held at Jackson Park. This park is 550 acres of amazing. This park has public sports fields to the south, an inner and outer harbor, a West Lagoon and East Lagoon that surround Wooded Island, and even beachfront areas at La Rabida Children’s Hospital, 63rd St Beach and 57th Beach. There have been about 300 species of birds seen at this location!

This event is free, but you must register to participate.

There will be 20 spots available.

Every individual needs a registration. If you would like to attend this event with someone else, please submit a registration for each of you and say that you would like to come together in the "additional comments" section.
