The Chicago Audubon Society is delighted to announce our twelfth Birding America Symposium to be held at North Park University in Chicago on Saturday, March 10. Please join us to discover great places, great people, and great birds presented by national and international experts who will cover topics ranging from the Midwest to the Galapagos; from cranes to hummingbirds to Tundra Swans; from Alaska to Tanzania and back again, highlighting resident as well as migratory birds the world over. Also offered will be special sessions on Nature Photography, Climate Change, and much, much more. This is an excellent opportunity to share your enthusiasm with others who love birds and want to protect them. All levels of birders are welcome, and beginning birders are encouraged to attend!
There will be raffles with great prizes, book sales and signings, and a variety of vendors offering nature photographs, bird products, birding information and much more.
Over the noon hour, Dr. Archibald will be signing his new book, My Life with Cranes, which will be available for sale at the event. The new memoir includes the charming account of George’s famous pair-bond with a very rare whooping crane named Tex.
