WOODED ISLAND BIRD WALKS, JACKSON PARK

These walks continue throughout the year, weather permitting. Bring binoculars, field guides, and dress for the weather. Many species are seen. Meet at the parking lot south of the Museum of Science & Industry (MSI), which is accessible via Science Drive, the intersection just south of 57th Drive/MSI. Enter from east bound, no left turn from west bound (turn around on River Road).  No RSVP required but if you need more information, contact Laurel Ross at [email protected].

Seeds have been gathered, cleaned and spread. Now it's time to continue to cut brush. Please join the CAS Camp Pine restoration group for this important restoration project. The focus will be on removing invasive brush, primarily buckthorn. Tools will be provided. Dress for the weather. Meet at the farthest parking lot at Camp Pine Woods on Euclid/Lake Avenue between Des Plaines and Glenview, just east of the Des Plaines River. Enter from east bound, no left turn from west bound (turn around on River Road).
